וְחַנָּ֖ה לֹ֣א עָלָ֑תָה כִּֽי־אָמְרָ֣ה לְאִישָׁ֗הּ עַ֣ד יִגָּמֵ֤ל הַנַּ֙עַר֙ וַהֲבִאֹתִ֗יו וְנִרְאָה֙ אֶת־פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְיָ֥שַׁב שָׁ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
אָבער חנה איז ניט אַרױפֿגעגאַנגען. װאָרום זי האָט געזאָגט צו איר מאַן: ביז דער ייִנגל װעט אַנטװײנט װערן; דענצמאָל װעל איך אים ברענגען און ער װעט זיך װײַזן פֿאַר גאָט, און װעט דאָרטן בלײַבן אױף שטענדיק.
I Samuel
She made a vow and said, "Adonoy of Hosts, if you look at the suffering of Your maidservant, and You remember me, and do not forget Your maidservant, and give Your maidservant male offspring, then I will give him to Adonoy all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head."
